If authors choose to still attend AP, that is their right. If they are content with the response from the AP team and it works for them to attend, awesome. But let me make one thing clear, shaming the authors that chose not to attend or saying they “flew off the handle” etc is not only ridiculous, but unacceptable. Authors deserve to feel safe and supported. If some authors set that boundary for their well-being we SUPPORT them. Books and book cons don’t exist without authors. Bookthreads
