I haven’t been divorced, but my child’s private school requires this so they know about custody arrangements, who can/can’t pick up kiddos, and when. Also helps for communication in instances of a medical emergency, school closures, activities, etc.

LOL no, but I can understand why. Say one parent comes in and says don't release the kid to the other parent but the custody agreement says 50/50, so one parent can't make that decision. Also, asking permission to do things and go places, they need to know if they need two signatures or one will do.

No but I submit so the school always has copies of records in case my ex ever tries to do something he is not allowed to do yet threatens to do.

Only if there is a disput about who is allowed to pick them up. Then they want to see the custody agreement so they know they’re doing right by the law.

Not only did I have to provide the agreement, they also wanted to be able to call him to confirm he knew I was enrolling our son in a new school, and also requested a letter for the school files. We had joint legal and physical custody. However I live in an area with a lot of military bases and the community is transient. I appreciated the school's diligence, even if it was a pain in the @$$

Not the divorce agreement but I did have to put the custody agreement on file so there were no questions about the legal custody arrangement.
