When you hire a coach and they deliver a program, your job as the athlete/client is to execute the program as written.
Your job is not to make changes, decide that you feel good today so you're gonna max out, or throw in something extra on a rest day.
There's a reason for the structure of the program and that is to keep fatigue low and recovery high. When you make changes, you may be adding delays to your progress.
Maybe not today or tomorrow, but down the road those changes will catch up.
