I think it’s all relative to age and lifestyle. Owning is so hard to do when you’re young. It’s hard to save enough for a downpayment, especially when you’re renting. If you can manage it, it’s good for building a nest egg for yourself or loved ones. But once you get older, I think renting becomes easier again. You don’t have to worry about maintenance of keeping a home. Also apartments can offer one level living and a community for older folks a lot of times.
