Today I unlocked a new level of climate misinformation: “EVs are unsafe and we shouldn’t have them because their batteries catch fire and explode” 😩 It doesn’t help that the media seems to sensationalize every EV battery fire, while ignoring the fact that combustion engines catch fire far more often 👀 Misleading claims like these fuel a broader narrative that opposes climate action and the adoption of green technology ⚠️ Climate literacy 🤝🏽 media literacy
