My oldest would cry every time we had to be in the car until about 5-6 months when we switched from infant to convertible car seats. It absolutely killed me to hear her crying but we do have to drive places. Obviously I’m not saying let your baby cry for an hour, but parents are also people that need to get things done, and also sometimes need a quick 5 min mental break.
