A last-bottle wine, this '99 is stunning. Mostly Cab Sauv with about 1/3rd Merlot and a dollop of Aglianico, this has aged beautifully, showing complexity, finesse, freshness and grip on the finish. With a nod to maturing Bordeaux (perfect for steak!), it's all I could have predicted or wanted. So, call me happy. It's delicious, but also interesting. 13%, mid-$50s then. #wine #campania #italy
