I made it to 25 and yes, I once lived in an apartment above a garage. I worked in so many small bakeries. I fell in love with someone I thought I’d marry; he even had my Gran’s ring. But that life wasn’t meant for me. I used to be scared of this ability I had. Each time I discovered more of a path I was on and I got closer to my internal deadline, I’d back out. I’d change courses. I used to punish myself for falling short on all these expectations. But now I see it as a gift.
