My great grandmother lived to be 99. She lived on her own for the last 24 years of her life. She grew and tended to her own garden, and managed most of her daily chores without help. She taught me how to crochet, how to sew, how to cook, where food came from (not the grocery store), and how to make do with what you have. She was tough as nails. 1/3
