On the way to Kilronin Castle, our home for the next few days, we stopped at Moore Hall- a 1796 3-story, 35 room mansion that burned in the Irish Civil War, 1923. The stone shell still stands even though the roof and everything inside burned to a total loss. Supposedly haunted 👻 Now plants are reclaiming it and what used to be a huge grass yard down to the lake, is a lovely, cool forest just 100 years later.
