This has been happening lately: 1. I start reading a book 2. Saw what's going on, example: someone hiring a bodyguard 3. Think to myself, "Huh, I can write better than that" 4. Go off and write my own version, which ends up being a completely different bodyguard scene, and being that no one else read it, unsure if it's actually better objectively 5. May or may not resume reading the book I suspect this is not different than a cook eating food made by someone else then think, "Huh..."
