It gets really hot in California (even BH) and white doesn’t retain heat as much.

Because they’ve been down the road of more “maximalist” designs and they realize colors and strong design get old quickly and best to just stick with classic neutral tones. Also, they’re more calming.

Because that’s the color of the demographic.

Hey, my whole house is pretty much beige and white except my kids rooms because it’s aesthetically pleasing to my adhd overactive brain. I come home from the loud world and feel safe and soft and not over stimulated.

It’s to prevent overstimulation, it’s sterile, it’s clean, white and beige is organized. It’s a sense of control especially with high-pressured lifestyles.

You can create a capsule collection that works for years with very expensive pieces and wear them over and over. Colors are seasonal and trend driven. It’s smart. Buy mostly neutrals in your selected palette and then pop with a couple brights or prints each season. A full closet of brights and prints is MOST indulgent as they will look dated quickly and people will recognize statement pieces so they can only be worn a couple times. So you’ll need to keep buying and buying.
