Anyone notice how if there's an android or friendly robot in a story, it will always suffer a conspicuous destruction, or right out "death" from a situation contrived specially to destroy it to remove it from the story, even if it's presence is unimportant to the overall story or wouldn't change anything going forward? I guess "Robot dude dies first" as a tv trope.
