Another heartbreaking loss for our CAL FIRE family in the past 48 hours. Fire Captain Chris Christensen passed away this morning while off duty surrounded by his family and friends. A 23-year veteran of CAL FIRE, Captain Christensen worked in the CAL FIRE/Riverside Unit, currently assigned to Battalion 4. Our heart goes out to the Christensen family, friends, and colleagues as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
