Just saw a LinkedIn post from a man who shared that after an “unsuccessful job search of over two years,” he is “reluctantly retiring.” He attributed his inability to land a new role due to being at the same company 31 years while being “paid VERY well” and unwilling to accept anything less.
This underscores two critical points.
☝🏽After 31 years at the same company of being “paid VERY well” he should be able to retire.
✌🏽He should be able to make one phone call to a leader or change maker.
