The only time I’ve woken up in the middle of the night and almost immediately felt compelled to turn the tv on, I couldn’t figure out why they were talking to a doctor (I put it on mute to avoid waking my then partner). So I put on Ceefax and they’d just announced that Diana had died. I was so shocked I said “Oh my God” out loud. Never done anything like that since. Weird.
