Has anyone used the Sharpe ratio to compare AI produced movies with human produced films? I feel that until audiences begin paying for AI produced movies the threat or promise, depending on one’s perspective, is overblown. AI as a tool can currently streamline production processes, it just won’t necessarily bring costs down. Productions still need to pay for locations, cast and crew, catering, insurance, materials for props, sets, costumes. If AI replaces all that it’s just animation.

It's so weird that people think that professional filmmakers only care about the individual art that they are creating rather than cost as well . Any production studio, professional filmmaker or director who is aware of their budget and has long-term vision would see this as a big win. And rather than see it as solely taking jobs away from people seeing as a way to make people's jobs easier And also getting their vision of the movie done faster.
