Y’all. Last few weeks I’ve been here on WriterThreads wondering how ppl are writing novels so fast. Every few months? HOW?? Then I started looking at posts about word counts. It looks like 110k is probably max length for a first novel in the genre I write in. I go look up the last full-length draft (the fourth) of the novel I worked on for seven years. It’s *200k* words. I thought I was just lazy and not trying hard enough 🤦‍♀️.
