One memorable part of film school was dudes coming up with dope interpretations of a Lynch project (👍) and then intensely! arguing that their interpretation is correct and the only one (👎) I remember so vividly a 200 person intro lecture being held hostage by a film bro who KNEW for certain what the mini old couple in Mulholland Drive were about. Put me off Lynch for too long. Until I finally saw Lynch speak on his own work and was like, “It’s vibes. What do you think?” (🤌) I think he’d dig it

This is way more meaningful than the "twin peaks is a tv show about a tv show that is aware it's a tv show" reading of it that has gained popularity in the last few years
