Btw: Also think about the impact of Airbnb on the rental market. Airbnb enabled more short term holiday lets, this restricts supply & that pushes up prices. Airbnb are allowed to offset mortgage interest as an expense, landlords of long term lets can’t do that. Would you set limits on holiday lets as well? Also, what exactly is your problem? Can you not afford rent or to buy at property or both?
