My mother was hospitalized, I drop everything and fly to her without knowing if she would be alive by the time I land. As she’s going thru surgeries and her situation is unclear - I text a best friend back the states, a lovely person actually : I am in a very bad spot because my mother is in surgery right now and I probably said some panicky things like I’m very scared, etc.. My friend’s response was “this is crossing my boundaries.” It hurt me. So. Fucking. Much. To read that.
