I don’t shop at Walmart (target is much closer) but we made a trip yesterday and I’m so confused by their receipt-checking policy. My friend had a Gatorade in her hand outside of her bag and had to show her receipt. The person didn’t actually check the receipt just that she was holding a receipt. He didn’t look (1)

My fiance had a pack of soda outside of the bag (because it doesn’t fit in one?) and he had to dig through the bags to find the receipt for the man to confirm there is a receipt, not that the soda was on it. Nothing in the bags were checked this just seems so strange to me
