In 2011, Apple introduced iCloud with 5GB storage for everyone, ~13 years later the limit is still the same. What are your thoughts on this? Should Apple increase default free storage?

It isn’t quite the same. They expand that space while you change iPhones for free. Previously if you needed more than 5 Gb to transfer your data from your iPhone to a new one the only way was to upgrade your iCloud or use a computer.

I suggest, what ever your iphone storage you purchased should be the same icloud storage they will give customers for free. Fair deal. In my opinion. 5gb storage is for dinosaur era haha

They know it’s enough enough. It pressures people into buying space. Even just a $1 month adds up to a lot when you have millions of customers.

5gb before is enough, in today’s it’s useless. apple should increase it to at least 256gb

It should be 25 free. This is pathetic at this point.
