We leave our front door open with the screen locked and a chair pulled up so our cat can sit and look out. We’re right a main bike and walking path with a sidewalk about a meter in front of our door. People walk their dogs along the paths. Most people have their dogs on a lead but there are still quite a few that let them run unleashed. It’s not usually a problem but as with all things related to humans, there are dog owners who let their unleashed dogs run right up to our door.
