Spent 3 days reading through, making notes from & chucking out some 60 notebooks covering 20+ years of my consultancy & lecturing life. I'd forgotten quite a few of the projects; blanked some of the HR & contractual challenges I'd faced but strangely I recognised almost every student name mentioned, whether for good or bad reasons (e.g. great marks; brilliant presentations; poor attendance; f****d up placement). Not sure what impact I had on their lives, but they've certainly impacted on mine!
