With a right wing conservative world view like PP we’re supposed to be afraid of those “other” people who are “not like us” and who are “criminals” presenting a problem that he is going to fix once and for all, presumably with more jails and punitive work-for-welfare programs. When I look at tent cities I think: most people are one industrial accident or car crash away from there. And we have failed to provide services and homes to the most vulnerable people.
