A few I would recommend: The World Before Us - Tom Higham The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs - Steve Brusatte The Rise and Reign of the Mammals - Steve Brusatte Higham’s book is a lot more focused on the science of collecting and studying prehistoric human dna and how we can construct the human family tree from it. Brusatte’s books chart the history of Dinosaurs and Mammals respectively, with evolution playing an obviously integral part to those stories.

"At the Water's Edge" by Carl Zimmer. Keep in mind he was wrong about the mesonychids.

The Ancestor's Tale: A Pilgrimage to the Dawn of Life by Richard Dawkins and Yan Wong is an all embracing but highly readable exploration of evolution. I am currently reading Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution which is also good if more focused on a specific aspect.
