You know how I get through it? I think about this woman on Oprah who was burned on over 90% of her body. She told her story and Oprah asked how she made it day by day. She replied, “I give myself 20 minutes every morning to cry, and feel sorry for myself. And then I shut the book and get on with my day. So I started doing that. I give myself that space every morning. And some days I don’t need it anymore, and on the days I do, I let it rip. And when I’m done, I shut the book.
