Good! You shouldn't have to live in a big city to pursue your dreams, and this makes our industry so much more accessible to underrepresented groups. I do prefer Zoom auditions, and while I like being in the room it should never be mandatory!

I think self tapes should be the norm for first auditions for large roles. Then in-person callbacks for the final 5 (chosen from those selftapes). But, for co-stars and smaller guest star parts: save time, they should cast direct from self tapes. This should work best for everyone involved.

I love the flexibility they allow. I wish there were more zoom/ecocast auditions so we can still travel and also connect with Casting Directors and receive redirects.
