I open 4-6 art files at same time and switch between wips and barely get one done 😂and whrn i do I'll gatekeep because i know it'll flop or I'm not ready to share some

I zoom in 1000% and spend an hour on a tiny spot that no one will ever notice or care about and will add no value to the illustration whatsoever...but I'm still gunna.

I have tons of sketches and half-way done work that will probably never see the light of day. Oh and I struggle with giving titles to my work

I constantly fall into the trap of thinking that the perspective of my contemporary creators and I share about what’s appealing, what’s difficult, what’s cool, original, compelling etc are actual public tastes. But really they are often light years off. As comics put it, “playing to the back of the room” instead of the audience can be addicting. It’s safer and easier to impress your art friends then giving your all to an audience you can’t ever know.
