I second (or twentieth?) the whole “write whenever you can” advice, but let me tell you that my brain sometimes will have a block on a story that I simply can’t write my way out of. I have been marinating on this one project for ten months and I knew it had the ability to be awesome but something was always just slightly off. Until today. Today it is perfect, and I can finally see the whole thing in its entirety. So my secondary advice is to also give yourself a little grace.
