I’m seeing a lot of posts about how great union pensions are. What people miss is that management pensions and benefits ((401ks, stock options, bonuses, HSAs) are much more lucrative. Many managers retire as millionaires. An HSA is triple tax exempt: No income tax on contributions, no income tax on yoields, no income tax when used for medical, dental or vision expenses. How many union members get those? That factory job may not be that great for retirement.
