One of the most vile encounters my family has had with a medical “professional” was when my brother was born: He was born without his left ventricle, had seizures, & a stroke. My mom was obviously traumatized by this. So when her “best friend” (medical “pro”) was cheated on (at the same time my brother was coding), she would not stop calling All Children’s Hospital & Ronald McDonald House. My mom (obviously) could not help her at the time, as she was dealing with her own crisis. 1/

Her “friend” called every number she could think of to try & talk to my mom — mind you, while my brother is having major medical issues AND her friend was a medical “pro”. My mom put her son first, & for that she lost a friend. 2:

My Mom hated a woman who told her to give up on me during an awful Asthma attack…. I didn’t get it then but your perspective has made me understand why she was.
