What's the allure of FIRE (Finanicial Independence, Retire Early)? I don't know how you could possibly do it with kids. So a family is out. Im going to be so cheap that I can't do anything social with friends, so no friends. I hate my job so much that I need to retire from it after 20 years. So work life is miserable. So I going to sacrifice what could be the best years of my life to retire at 45 or so with no family or friends....and do what exactly? The whole thing makes no sense to me.
