Weight distribution on an aircraft is a thing. Good chance this played into the event.

It's a two hour flight for crying out loud.

If it was a small plane, perhaps, there was a weight and balance issue. I’ve been on those where they’ve told passengers (when they boarded), they would need to move once they got the final count.

So you got told no and now you’re trying to make it about race because you didn’t get your way? (If that wasn’t your intention, color is irrelevant - just like it appears to be here.) One would think as a “doctor” that you’d be a little more demure… more mindful…

I used to be a flight attendant and our policy was no one could move seats on ground. But after take off, it was unsaid knowledge that it was okay. Or we let passengers move on their own accord anyway. If we noticed them move, we would ask them to go back to their original seats right before descent.

You may need to stay there because of weight balancing. If the flight isn’t full some seats can move about the cabin and switch. Ask again and if told know simply ask what the reason is if you’re wanting to know

So not racism, not sexism… maybe you’re unpleasant
