On Labor Day, MrB & I day hiked the Chain Lakes Loop. Mount Shuksan dominated the horizon. Herman Saddle brought us to around 5,400 feet where views extended in every direction. We stuck our feet in Iceberg Lake and then continued on through more scree fields and amazing vistas. A fog bank blocked our Mount Baker view until it started gusting and blew away all the clouds—and the view took our breath away. All in all, a lovely day in the mountains. gooutside
