Exactly the same thing happened to me with Grand Central. They are awful and hardly have any trains , so if you miss a connection you are stuffed..Avoid at all costs.

Never had an issue with GC. Excellent value for money compared to LNER. BUT it does carry the extra stress that if you miss your train you are screwed.
