Agreed! I understand consistency is good, but if I beat myself up for every day that my mind and body need to rest I would spend a lot more time hating myself than I would writing my book.

I'm personally happy if I am able to write 4/7 days of the week. I try to set that as a minimum but in reality I might not be able to write at all one week and that is okay. Some times my writing is getting 10 words on the page and I have to remind myself that I was able to do something.

This! I love writing and try to do some every day, but I also don’t beat myself up if I go a day or more without putting words to paper. I’m a single mom with a toddler, so his wellbeing is my priority.
