“As a man thinks in his heart so is he.” If I think I am an orange, that doesn’t make me an orange. But it will impact how I behave. I’ll likely lay around all day, complicit with gravity, waiting to be picked up or moved. Or even eaten. But it doesn’t negate the fact I am human. Christians ought to be likewise careful what they think about themselves. What you think about yourself directly impacts your actions. Do you see yourself as a saint? Do you meditate on this truth?
