I was told at age 19 that I would never be able to have children. I was a virgin and single. When I was 30 and married we decided to give IVF one shot. It was out of pocket. $10k then. Resulted in 5 embryos. One didn’t reach Day 3. On Day 5 we had 4. Two were transferred and 2 frozen. One of those made it and I had a child. 3 years later I went back for the 2 frozen embryos. I became pregnant but had an early m/c. All embryos were wanted and given the same chance at life.

I have two children thanks to ivf. They were transfers 6 and 8. They were transferred embryos 11 and 13. The other 11 embryos failed to become people either outright or via miscarriage.
