i haven't heard of that one yet. but i think a lot of it comes out of finding the reassurance that you're not alone. when i started reading MM romances i had a whole new world of broader seggsualities opened to me that i hadn't been exposed to before and while it hasn't necessarily changed how i label myself, it has given me a greater understanding of who i am, and a huge reassurance that even though i experience some things differently to those around me, i'm not alone in feeling that way.
