My take on Hyundai switching to NACS is that it's a year or two too early. I wouldn't ship a car with a NACS port until I had access to Superchargers for over a year and had seen EA, EVGo, etc. starting to swap cables. Switching now is taking a lot of things on faith that shouldn't be taken for granted like the speed of non-Tesla NACS rollout, when and if Supercharger access happens, etc.

幾秒內	Ross amg_wgn	A more prudent move would be having a "NACS port swap kit" engineered, ready to go that can be retrofit on your cars from here on out so you don't waste time and money adapting to an uncertain future that will greatly inconvenience your customers. It's like buying clothes for a you that's lost 50lbs before you even start a diet.

I still prefer to charge at a station that can get me the full ask that my truck is asking for vs Tesla network where it will be derated. Sticking to my top 3 EVgo, Chargepoint & EA
2 小時內	Mitsu Hadeishi syntheticzero	All of the 2025 Ioniq 5's will include CCS1 adapters so even if Tesla tries to back out of the agreement, they'll still have access to the (horrible) EA charging network. If you go on the Tesla supercharger locator, NACS-enabled Superchargers are already widely available and the main thing they need to "do" is just "turn on" access. I am quite sure Hyundai's contract with Tesla includes massive penalties if Tesla tries to shirk their side of the deal.

I have to think that’s in part why the overall EV market has chilled. I absolutely will not buy a vehicle that needs an adapter to use the future/current charging standard. Hopefully the 2025 Ioniq and EV9 have this so I can actually start shopping soon.
