I suppose I should try Cursor after trying claude-dev.

Don't. First try Claude-Dev in VsCode (uses your Anthropic api-key). It's reads/writes/builds/fixes and commits code autonomously. You don't need to tell it which file to reference, it just finds them. You can guide it, tell it to commit every change or keep journal in Markdown or use any cli tool. Once you see what's possible with Claude and the right tools, then evaluate Cursor.
