I teach at a couple universities/colleges in town and invariably have students who don't do the work and as a result, fail the course. I feel so bad, like I have failed them somehow. I know I can't make them do the work, and that I'm not responsible for their effort. But I take it personally when one of them misses several assignments, and even when I reach out to them several times, they don't do the work. So frustrating!
