A friend messaged this morning to ask what I would recommend they do on a two day stopover in Hong Kong. I said besides amazing eating, shopping, and taking in views, there isn’t much to do in Hong Kong. I double checked some travel sites, nope, still nothing particularly compelling. Over the course of several visits, my favorite was the ferry to Macau and taking a tour there. It seemed much more multi dimensional than HK.

一天內	Alvin YK Lee alvinlee_hk	It depends on personal interests and depth. A metropolis is always multi-dimensional particularly for cities like HK which has experienced ups and downs. Yes, it may be more similar to NYC as a financial hub, but my HK is more than that. Macau’s appeal is largely from the Portuguese colonial influence and the Las Vegas type of luxury. Simply base on your heart if time is limited!

Although HK has changed a lot, but there’s still a lot to explore and experience.
