The act of photographing everyday random arrangements, such as a leaf fallen to the ground, creates art. The photograph transforms the arrangement into art. But couldn’t you then achieve art also by putting a frame around the fallen leaf? And if so, perhaps the definition of art is merely the human intent of labelling something as such.
