One thing I wish I knew sooner as a doctor. When your patients find someone that cares and listens, distance doesn't always matter. I've tried to (at times) find my patients a doctor that closer and they've refused. It's humbling to know that I have patients willing to drive over an hour to see me or one of my colleagues doctor
