I’m a man and often choose to use softer language for similar reasons. I don’t think men or women should choose to speak one specific way all the time, but rather use their judgement to evaluate the situation/context. Men shouldn’t be afraid to admit when they don’t know things and women shouldn’t be afraid to assert themselves.
