Ok, so I made a previous post about a previous post…lol…asking for artists (which I am one) to share links to their art, because I was sincerely interested in buying a piece for myself for my birthday. I yelled , in all caps, “I want to buy your art!” in the beginning of the post, without realizing that statement is scammer lingo. I was just being cheeky with the caps, and wanted to get people’s attention. But they don’t know me, or my heart… 🧵🪡

(And I will buy something, still going through replies) But I also saw the abject distrust artists have for this type of post. The hurt and fear they will be scammed and that really makes me sad. Something needs to be done about that! My intentions were more than sincere. I was just looking to go beyond the scope of people I already follow. I was also trying to engage in the community on here, which seems to be mostly positive. 🧵🪡
