I received an email today from a brand proposing a partnership.
In exchange for a free product (a piece of wearable tech with a retail value of about $250), they're asking me to create and post an in-feed video and agree to convey an unlimited, perpetual license.
I'm not suggesting this is an outrageously unfair deal, nor am I saying it's necessarily worth it. I just want creators to understand what they're signing up for with these brand partnerships.
Would you take on this project?
